Hartlebury Castle Preservation Trust is delighted to announce that at 1.00 pm today, Friday 27th March they finally became the owners of Hartlebury Castle.

This has been made possible  with the help of Heritage Lottery Fund award and the generosity of so many organisations, authorities and individuals who have pledged matched funding, revenue support, individual gifts and time now enables us to go ahead with this splendid project. Next year major works within the Bishop’s House, including restoring the Long Gallery and installing a new lift to serve the Hurd Library and upper floors, will be completed.

This summer and throughout the programme of works the Trust will arrange special tours and access to parts of the Castle that have not been available to the public. In 2017 the restoration will be complete and the whole Castle will once again function as a single building.
